Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software engineering.
- 5 years of experience managing software engineering teams.
- Experience with systems design and distributed systems.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience architecting and developing software for scalable, distributed systems.
- Experience with debugging distributed software systems.
- Experience with networking technologies/concepts such as software defined networking (SDN).
- Proficiency in data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis.
- Understanding of internet routing technologies and router/switch telemetry.

The role involves managing a high performing team of engineers, driving product strategy, ensuring robust, scalable solutions across distributed systems, and overseeing large scale deployments across multiple locations. Managers actively mentor teams, prioritize incremental progress, and adapt execution plans for maximum impact.
Responsibilities- Manage a high performing team of software engineers.
- Provide technical guidance to the team as they design, develop, integrate and test the features for B4 availability, scaling, NPIs.
- Prioritize work and ensure incremental progress even when facing difficult problems.
- Help team members and partner teams understand the broader context and solve the right problems at the right time.
- Be comfortable with changes in the execution plan if they enable the right impact for Google.
