Engineering Manager Location: Belgooly, Ireland Salary: Up to €75,000 + Up to 10% Annual Bonus Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm Friday 8:30am-4:00pm The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead engineering operations at a large manufacturing site in Belgooly. Reporting directly to the Director, you'll be responsible for leading the engineering function through a Technical Services Lead and a sizeable engineering team, ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of all maintenance and engineering activities. This is a hands-off management position, ideal for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys leading people, driving performance and operating within a fast-paced, demanding environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the engineering and maintenance function across a large manufacturing facility. Manage and develop the Technical Services Lead and wider engineering team. Ensure planned and reactive maintenance activities are delivered safely and efficiently. Drive engineering performance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders while managing expectations in a demanding operational environment. Support strategic planning, resource management and engineering best practice. Monitor KPIs, maintenance performance and asset reliability. Promote a strong culture of health, safety and operational excellence. Work closely with senior leadership to deliver business objectives and improve site performance. About You We're looking for a resilient, technically strong engineering leader who is comfortable operating in a demanding environment and can confidently manage both people and stakeholders. You will have: A strong technical engineering background (mechanical or electrical). A minimum of 2 years' experience in an Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role. Experience managing engineering teams on a large, complex industrial or manufacturing site. Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills. The ability to make decisions, challenge where appropriate and remain composed under pressure. A proactive, resilient approach with the confidence to work alongside senior leadership and a demanding client. The ability to travel across a large site throughout the working day. Previous pharmaceutical experience is beneficial but not essential. Candidates with experience managing engineering operations on large manufacturing, industrial, commercial or critical environments are encouraged to apply. What's on Offer Salary up to €75,000.
