Based in Manchester
The Company:ATA Recruitment are working with a well established FMCG manufacturer in Greater Manchester. This business has invested heavily in the plant on automation upgrades, new production lines for a new product launch, and factory extensions for increased capacity.

The Role:- The engineering manager will lead and manage a small but experienced maintenance department
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding on complex machinery faults when required
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce machine down time
- Manage CAPEX projects, including equipment installations, plant upgrades, and expansions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, BRC, health & safety, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource utilisation.
- Purchase machine parts, orgaise stores
- Manage contractors and prepare RAMS
- Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and high performance within the engineering team.

- Qualified Electrical Engineer
- PLC knowledge
- Experience in a leadership role within food / FMCG manufacturing.
- Proven experience in CAPEX project management and budget control.
