We are hiring for an Engineering Lead to join a high-performing team delivering complex mechanical construction projects across sectors such as pharma, biotech, and semiconductors. This role is based on a Data Centre in Portugal with a leading Irish Mechanical Contractor.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction activities on site
• Coordinate between mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines
• Manage and mentor site-based engineers and area teams
• Monitor construction progress against programme
• Resolve engineering queries and site issues
• Coordinate with offsite fabrication and installation teams
• Oversee piping systems from fabrication through to installation and testing

Requirements

• 7+ years' mechanical engineering experience
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role
• Strong piping knowledge (P&IDs, isometrics essential)
• Experience on construction-stage mechanical projects
• Background in pharma, biotech or semiconductor projects.
• Experience working with mechanical contractors preferred
• Proficient in Navisworks or similar tools
