Job Description
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading and managing a small team of design engineers
- Reviewing client building packages
- Preparing project documentation and plans
- Quality verification
- Project document management and coordination
- Weekly reporting to the Deputy Project Director
- Developing and delivering system-wide operation and maintenance manuals
- Producing high-quality documentation that meets standards and is understandable for its audience
- Collaborating with internal teams to understand project requirements
- Supporting CAD process development across design engineers
- Managing documentation, revision control, and file storage
- Creating and maintaining information architecture, distributing and tracking electronic documents accurately
- Verifying documentation and designs produced by engineers with lower SQEP levels
ENGINEERING DESIGN LEAD CORE COMPETENCIES SQEP LEVEL 4:
- Chartered Electrical Engineer (desirable)
- Member of IET/IEE or equivalent (desirable)
- Degree/HND (essential)
- Experience with BS5839 Part 1 (essential)
- Experience in nuclear industry and/or major construction projects (essential)
- Competent in technical documentation such as specifications, reports, and drawings (essential)
- Experience with AutoCAD / Navisworks (desirable)
ENGINEERING DESIGN LEAD CORE COMPETENCIES SQEP LEVEL 3:
- HND/OND (desirable)
- Experience with BS5839 Part 1 (essential)
- Designing and commissioning fire alarm systems in nuclear industry or major projects (essential)
- Proficient in technical documentation (essential)
- Experience with AutoCAD and Navisworks (desirable)
