Job Description
About the Role

As a Test Engineer 1, you will apply established engineering principles to assignments of moderate complexity and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve product and program objectives. You will take increasing responsibility for design quality, technical documentation, issue resolution, and implementation of solutions that meet customer, manufacturing, regulatory, and business requirements. As a Test Engineer 1, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop and execute test plans, procedures, methods, fixtures, and acceptance criteria derived from product requirements.
  • Configure test articles, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, environmental equipment, and laboratory setups.
  • Collect, analyze, and report test data with appropriate attention to accuracy, traceability, and measurement uncertainty.
  • Develop or maintain automated test scripts, tools, fixtures, and data-processing workflows.
  • Document anomalies, reproduce failures, support root cause investigations, and verify corrective actions.
  • Support functional, environmental, reliability, regression, compliance, and system integration testing.
  • Collaborate with design, systems, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, service, and project teams.
  • Maintain test records, equipment status, calibration controls, and laboratory safety requirements.
What We're Looking For:
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of verification, validation, test method development, data acquisition, and engineering measurement fundamentals.
  • Experience using laboratory instrumentation, fixtures, sensors, test software, or environmental test equipment.
  • Ability to interpret requirements and convert them into objective, repeatable, and traceable test methods.
  • Experience analyzing data, documenting anomalies, communicating results, and supporting root cause investigations.
  • Understanding of calibration, measurement uncertainty, repeatability, reproducibility, and laboratory safety.
  • Ability to collaborate with design, systems, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, service, and project teams.
  • Experience with Python programming and knowledge of embedded C for test infrastructure development
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in industrial instrumentation, process control, industrial automation, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and product lifecycle or configuration management processes.
  • Experience developing automated test systems, scripts, fixtures, data acquisition, or test software.
  • Experience with environmental, vibration, thermal, pressure, ingress protection, EMC, or hazardous-area qualification testing.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering, accelerated life testing, failure analysis, and corrective action methods.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, measurement uncertainty, metrology, calibration, or design of experiments.
  • Experience defining production test strategies, regulatory evidence, system integration tests, or field validation methods.
