Overview

A leading UK law firm is seeking a talented Senior Associate or Director to join its Clean Energy Regulation and Commercial Contracts team. This is a rare opportunity to work with top-tier clients in the clean energy sector, including onshore and offshore renewables developers driving the transition to net zero.

You'll be part of a dynamic, collaborative team advising on cutting edge regulatory reforms and negotiating high-value, complex contracts. The role offers significant scope for progression, client exposure, and cross-jurisdictional work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on major regulatory reforms (e.g. grid connections, OFTOs, hydrogen, interconnectors, carbon capture).
  • Draft and negotiate regulated contracts (e.g. grid connection agreements, CfDs, PPAs).
  • Handle complex compensation and mitigation agreements (e.g. radar mitigation, biodiversity net gain).
  • Support M&A and financing transactions with grid and commercial input.
  • Represent the firm at sector events and contribute to business development.
Candidate Profile
  • Strong commercial acumen and client focused approach.
  • Experience in energy/utilities regulation or commercial contracts preferred.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage and supervise work effectively.
