We're looking for an Energy Manager who will lead and support all energy reduction activities across our business. This is a pivotal role, responsible for delivering both short-term and long-term energy education targets, driving innovation, and contributing to delivery of our financial and sustainability goals. You'll oversee the energy management plan, lead working groups, and champion energy efficiency, working collaboratively across all business units to deliver value and step change.
What you'll do- Lead and support energy reduction initiatives across all Co-op business units
- Oversee the delivery of the energy management plan and development of business cases for energy invest-to-save projects
- Lead the energy optimisation programmes and working groups, delivering energy savings through continuous improvement and asset optimisation.
- Collaborate with Property, Sustainability, Engineering & Standards, Construction, PMO, and external partners to integrate energy strategy into major projects
- Conduct horizon scanning for new technologies, policy changes, and commercial opportunities
- Oversee energy compliance activities and appraise the energy impact of projects
- Oversee development of consumption budgets to support our financial planning and procurement processes
- Significant experience in energy management, project leadership, and change management
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across diverse teams
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to different audiences
- Technical expertise in energy efficiency, renewable generation, and energy auditing
- Experience in developing and delivering energy strategies and initiatives
