Energy Engineer - Environmental Efficiency & Energy Management
Location: Belfast
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, early finish on Fridays

The Opportunity

Our client, a major manufacturing operation on a well-known Belfast site, is seeking an Energy Engineer to lead projects focused on energy management and environmental efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in manufacturing who is passionate about sustainability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and improve environmental performance across the site.
  • Monitor and analyse energy usage, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead energy-related projects, from feasibility studies through to delivery and performance tracking.
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to embed best practices in energy management.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and company sustainability targets.
  • Prepare reports and present energy performance data to senior management.
About You
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar energy management or environmental engineering role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency practices, environmental standards and relevant regulations.
  • Proven experience delivering projects that reduce energy usage and improve environmental performance.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering, energy or environmental discipline.
