Job Title: End-to-End Payments Solution Architect

Project: Pegasus Programme

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced End-to-End Solution Architect to take ownership of the overall architecture and design for the Pegasus Programme. This role is critical in ensuring all solution components align with business requirements and integrate seamlessly across multiple delivery areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the End-to-End Solution Architect for the Pegasus Programme, with full responsibility for delivering a robust, scalable, and compliant solution aligned to business objectives
• Collaborate with domain architects and designers to ensure a cohesive end-to-end architecture
• Oversee solutions across multiple delivery areas, including APIs, channel changes, Mainframe systems, AWS cloud components, and payments systems (eg GPPSP, core services)
• Own and maintain high-level design documentation, including architecture summaries, programme design artefacts, and Architecture Review Board (ARB) submissions
• Prepare and present design artefacts to the ARB, representing the programme and addressing feedback
• Engage with Information Security Risk (ISR) teams to ensure designs meet security requirements and remediate any identified gaps
• Act as the architecture/design representative in internal and external forums, including engagement with third-party vendors, partner banks, and key stakeholders
• Provide guidance to delivery teams on low-level design to ensure alignment with overall architecture
• Support project managers with documentation required for service transition processes
• Contribute to the definition of functional and non-functional requirements
• Support end-to-end testing phases, providing clarity on solution design and resolving architecture-related queries

Key Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as an End-to-End Solution Architect within complex enterprise programmes
• Strong experience across distributed architectures, including APIs, AWS cloud, Mainframe, and payments systems
• Experience working in regulated environments, ideally within financial services or banking
• Strong understanding of architecture governance, including ARB processes and design assurance
• Experience working with security teams and managing security design reviews
• Ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
• Excellent documentation and communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience with payments platforms and services (eg GPPSP or similar)
• Experience working on large-scale transformation programmes with multiple delivery streams
• Experience engaging with third-party vendors and external partners
