A top 50 UK law firm, located in the heart of Birmingham city centre, is seeking a talented Employment Associate to join their high-performing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters for a portfolio of household-name clients across retail, manufacturing, and FMCG sectors.

You will be part of a team recognised for its market-leading expertise and commitment to delivering pragmatic, commercial advice.

The Role:

• Advising clients on a wide range of employment law issues, including disciplinary and grievance matters, restructurings, TUPE, and contractual disputes
• Acting on both contentious and non-contentious matters, providing clear, commercially minded advice
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships with household-name companies
• Contributing to a high-performing team and supporting its continued growth

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified solicitor with proven experience in employment law
• Comfortable handling both contentious and advisory matters
• Experience advising clients in retail, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors is highly desirable
• Strong commercial awareness, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to manage a varied client portfolio
