Full time - 37 hours per week (part time hours will be considered)
Fixed term until 31 March 2027 (with ongoing funding discussions)
Base: Durham, Gateshead, Sunderland, North Tyneside within NEMSA area
Salary: £29,503 pa

Make a difference to unpaid carers across the North East
About the role- Provide one to one, strengths based employability support to unpaid carers.
- Assess needs, identify barriers and develop tailored action plans that support progression into work.
- Deliver practical interventions including CV development, job search support, interview preparation and confidence building.
- Help carers recognise their transferable skills and the resilience gained through caring.
- Liaise with employers, training providers and partners to identify opportunities and reduce barriers.
- Maintain accurate case notes, achieve project targets and contribute to group sessions and wider programme delivery.
- Safeguard vulnerable adults and children, escalating concerns appropriately.
- Experience providing one to one advice, guidance or employability support.
- Strong understanding of unpaid carers' needs and the barriers they may face when preparing for work.
- Knowledge of local labour markets, recruitment routes and training opportunities.
- Ability to deliver practical employability interventions confidently and creatively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build supportive, professional relationships.
- Strong organisational skills, with experience managing a caseload and meeting targets.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and strengths based practice.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Ability to travel across the North East region.
