Emergency Temporary Proxy Parent for Teenage Girls in Coventry, West Midlands

Job Overview

A warm and supportive proxy parent is sought to care for two independent teenage girls aged 13 and 16 while their parent is away. This role would suit someone calm, friendly and naturally encouraging, who can provide a steady presence and gentle guidance in the home.

Responsibilities

Support the girls' daily routines, offering reminders around personal hygiene, laundry, and getting ready for and winding down from the day. The youngest attends school in the mornings (8:30am-11:20am) and the eldest has a flexible weekly schedule with activities typically between 11:30am and 2:30pm or 4:30pm. Both girls are capable and largely independent. They enjoy cooking and will often prepare meals themselves, so the nanny should facilitate and support these activities. Provide a steady, supportive presence and gentle guidance, encouraging healthy eating, independence and a balanced outlook.

Requirements

Minimum experience: Experience with neurodiversity. Driving required: Yes, essential. Must have an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate, and a minimum of two professional referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer and both must be immediately contactable. Appropriate professional insurance (nanny insurance) is recommended.

• Hours of work: Wednesday 7:30am - Tuesday 9pm
• Days required: Wednesday - Tuesday
• Job Start Date: Wednesday 18th March
• Job End Date: Tuesday 23rd March
• Pay: £2,520 gross
• This is a temporary job
