As our EMEA & Americas Payroll Manager, payroll processing for around 1,500 employees across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency at every step. You'll lead a small team and partner closely with HR, Finance, and Legal to ensure smooth delivery, continuous improvement, and exceptional service for our people.

This is a hands-on, leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, multinational environment and enjoys balancing operational excellence with process transformation.

The Role

You'll manage the end-to-end payroll process across the EMEA and Americas regions, overseeing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with local legislation, and maintaining governance. You'll lead and develop a team of payroll administrators, acting as the key escalation point for complex queries and driving standardisation and efficiency across multiple jurisdictions.

In addition to operational delivery, you'll play a critical role in payroll transformation initiatives - helping DAZN enhance systems, processes, and controls as we continue to scale globally.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Manage accurate and timely payroll processing across the EMEA and Americas regions, ensuring compliance with local laws and internal policies.
  • Lead, support, and develop a small team of payroll administrators, coordinating with in-country vendors to deliver seamless payroll operations.
  • Oversee executive payrolls, maintaining strict confidentiality, accuracy, and governance.
  • Validate all payroll inputs - including new hires, leavers, variable pay, benefits, and statutory deductions - and perform variance checks before approvals.
  • Ensure full compliance with tax, social security, and labour regulations while maintaining up-to-date SOPs and audit readiness.
  • Act as the main escalation point for payroll queries, partnering closely with HR, Finance, and Legal to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Manage relationships with external payroll providers, monitoring performance, service levels, and accuracy of delivery.
  • Produce clear and accurate payroll reports and insights for stakeholders, supporting business visibility and decision-making.
What You'll Bring:
  • 5+ years' experience in payroll supervisory or management role
  • UK payroll experience essential; additional EMEA or Americas experience highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax legislation, and statutory reporting.
  • Experience managing outsourced payroll vendors and systems (e.g. ADP, Safeguard, Oracle).
  • Proven ability to oversee multiple countries with complex requirements.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills with confidence working with data and reports.
  • Experience leading or mentoring a payroll team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
