Job Description
Overview

The EMC Test Technician in Olney supports testing, installation, and maintenance of specialist equipment to UKAS and company standards. This full-time role pays £26,000 to £28,000 per annum and involves working alongside experienced engineers on customer equipment. The position provides comprehensive training within a motorsport-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out EMC testing on customer equipment under the guidance of qualified engineers.
  • Setting up, monitoring and dismantling EMC test systems.
  • Installing, commissioning and maintaining specialist test equipment.
  • Recording accurate test and calibration results in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assisting with laboratory housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
  • Performing routine health and safety checks on electrical equipment.
  • Reporting equipment faults and ensuring testing is completed within agreed timescales.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with UKAS quality standards.
About You
  • An Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Relevant industry experience will also be considered.
  • At least one year's industrial training or experience in a related electronics field is desirable, although newly qualified candidates are encouraged to apply as full training will be provided.
  • Soldering skills for electrical and electronic components. Experience with SMT and discrete components is advantageous.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce accurate technical reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
