Job Title:ElectroplaterLocation:Hayes, LondonDepartment:PlatingReporting to:Plating Shop Production Manager
About the RoleA regulated aerospace MRO and manufacturing organisation is seeking an Electroplater to support the surface treatment of critical aircraft components. The role is responsible for carrying out electroplating and associated processes to strict technical, safety, and quality standards, contributing directly to component durability, compliance, and airworthiness.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out electroplating and related processes in accordance with approved procedures, drawings, and job cards.Use internal quality management systems for recording and tracking work; full training provided.Prepare components for electroplating, including masking and surface preparation.Undertake material handling activities, including the use of gantry cranes, slings, and lifting equipment.Perform surface preparation processes such as grit blasting (desirable but not essential).Carry out electroplating processes including, where experienced:Cadmium and Dalic Cadmium platingNickel platingHard Chrome platingAlocromNital etch / acid etch inspectionHeat treatment of componentsComplete work in line with technical instructions and required quality standards.Ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with health & safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.Maintain awareness of environmental controls associated with electroplating processes.Maintain an up-to-date Practical Experience Record (PER) book.Support training and knowledge transfer to colleagues where qualified and required.Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by line management.
Education & QualificationsEducated to GCSE level or equivalent.Industry-related training is advantageous but not essential.
Experience & Technical KnowledgePrevious experience working within a plating or surface treatment environment.Basic understanding of electroplating processes and associated procedures.Experience working within a regulated or approved maintenance/manufacturing environment is desirable.

Working ConditionsFactory shop-floor environment.Full-time position operating a 4-on / 4-off shift pattern.Based in Hayes, London.Occasional travel may be required.No direct reports.
Additional RequirementsUnrestricted right to live and work in the UK.Completion of mandatory training as required.
