Electrician
Location: Greater Manchester (home based with regional travel)
Salary: £60,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (Some flexibility required)

A well established organisation with a rapidly expanding UK and Ireland estate is continuing to invest in the growth of its Facilities team. Due to ongoing site openings and refurbishment projects, they are now seeking experienced Electricians to support sites predominantly across the North of England and Scotland.
Your new role
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for the electrical maintenance of existing sites as well as supporting the fit out of new locations. This is a mobile, home based role covering Greater Manchester, with regular travel across the North of England and Scotland, and occasional travel to other regions within the UK and Ireland.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs, testing, and installationsSupporting electrical fit outs, refurbishments, and extensionsEnsuring all works comply with current electrical regulations and standardsAssisting subcontractors attending site for planned or preventative maintenanceCompleting annual periodic inspection and testing and maintaining accurate recordsCarrying out regular PAT testing and maintaining associated documentationTesting emergency lighting, generators, and related systemsRaising material requisitions and maintaining accurate stock recordsExecuting work schedules efficiently and submitting job sheets weeklyConducting monthly site walk rounds to identify maintenance requirementsCompleting internal testing related to emergency lighting and escape systemsSupporting audits and compliance requestsEnsuring strict adherence to health & safety standards and PPE requirementsTravelling regularly to sites across the UK and IrelandWhat you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualificationJIB Approved Electrician statusStrong understanding of building regulations for electrical installationsExperience across commercial environmentsKnowledge of generators, CCTV, and BMS systemsAbility to carry out inspection, testing, and fault-finding worksStrong organisational and time management skillsFull UK driving licenceFlexibility to travel regularly across the UK and IrelandDesirable (but not essential):
Previous experience in a multi-site or facilities roleAbility to carry out PAT testing and thermal imaging testingCSR cardExperience across domestic, commercial, and industrial installations
