Job Description
We will accomplish togetherElectricianWithin the Energy and Industrial Ecology Department, the Wastewater Activity has the mission to transport, treat wastewater from the canton and the cross-border region by means of wells and to evacuate it into the environment EU fulfills this role in compliance with federal and cantonal water laws and based on the cantonal framework. Our core profession will always remain water; our ongoing and upcoming challenges are significant and essential for ambitious goals in environmental protection and sustainable development (treatment of micropollutants, production of biogas, solar PV production, thermal treatment of wastewater and sludge, reduction of CO2 emissions). Additionally, there are technological challenges that we must address to improve our methods such as predictive maintenance assisted by AI or our processes through digital twin. As an Electrician, you will notably contribute to: ensuring the availability and reliability of the infrastructure for the transport and treatment of wastewater; ensuring the continuous operation of wastewater treatment facilities. You are part of the Maintenance unit, which is tasked with maintaining, ensuring reliability, and anticipating the renewal of pumps and energy supplies for sustainable Geneva. In your role, you will be responsible for: Collaborating within the Maintenance unit with the group leader, colleagues, and various technicians and engineers from the EU and SPI activities, ensuring the technical and human performance of our facilities, our activities, and the resolution of issues occurring on the: Performing corrective and preventive maintenance; Ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and upkeep of electrical systems of wastewater treatment facilities and buildings; Contributing to the continuous improvement of facilities; Diagnosing malfunctions and being proactive in proposing solutions; Interacting with the operator to optimize the functioning of the; Participating in new project developments; Ensuring the establishment of necessary safety conditions for yourself and all stakeholders; Investing time in training on new technologies and new methods. Your personality and skills: Good knowledge of simple, complex, and/or industrial systems. Good understanding of all regulations, standards, and prescriptions (OIBT, NIBT, PDIE, etc.). You hold a qualification under art. OIBT, and we wish to meet candidates capable of working independently, with good judgment and rigor in carrying out activities. You possess good troubleshooting abilities and a positive and proactive mindset to face technical novelties. Your academic background: CFC electrician or equivalent qualifications, with more than 5 years of experience, ideally in an industrial environment. You hold a driver's license. This position requires on-call service for which a response time of half an hour is requested. You will be assigned to this duty as soon as you possess the necessary knowledge.
