Job Overview

We are seeking a time served Electrician with experience in the industrial sector.

Joining our small fast-growing team will see the ideal candidate working within the industrial sector, carrying out new installations, completing planned maintenance and assisting with reactive works. The role offers a wide range of works from lighting and data to PLC and factory automation and everything in between. We predominantly operate within the FMCG sectors and cover the southwest, weekend overtime work is available and compensated with generous overtime rates. The candidate would ideally be familiar with installation of metal containment (ladder, tray, basket, conduit) and have good experience dressing and terminating SWA and various other cables (AWA, FP200, Cat6, Ho7 etc) and familiar around PLC control panels / MCC panels.

This is a full-time permanent position.

Pay: Depending on experience £18-£21 p/h + overtime

_42.5 hours is a standard week with every hour after paid at x 1.5, x 2 after the first 4 hours on a Saturday all day Sunday and x 3 on any bank holiday. _

_Generous holiday allowance of 25 days per annum + bank holidays. _

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial or industrial settings.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, written instructions to determine the layout of electrical systems.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Use power tools and hand tools effectively to carry out installations and repairs.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within specifications.
Able to communicate clearly and confidently with site hosts, directors and office staff.
Aware of constraints and hygiene requirements within the food sector.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Experience installing metal and stainless-steel containment, ladder, tray and basket conduit.
Experience with glanding various types of cables SWA, AWA, flexible cables and the correct termination methods.

What we are looking for.

Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role within the electrical field. 18th edition BS7671, NVQ level 3 installing and commissioning electro technical systems or similar.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuits, and safety protocols.
Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade.
Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as required by specific tasks and carry IPAF, PASMA certification (training can be provided for this)
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
A valid clean driver's licence. And able to commute to our base in Norton St Philip, nr Bath.
Ability to use computers / tablet to complete tasks such as reports and job management software.
