Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Electrician to join our Landing Gear Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) team. This role involves referencing CMM and Boeing drawings to assist in the overhaul of harnesses and electrical sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and fabricating electrical components. Apply now!

Tasks

The key responsibilities of the Electrician include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform detailed inspections of electrical systems in aircraft landing gear assemblies
  • Fabrication of wire harnesses and mechanical sub-assemblies
  • Repair or replace faulty wiring and other electrical components
  • Diagnose electrical faults or failures using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to determine root causes of issues
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and requirements
  • Carry out preventive maintenance to extend the lifecycle of electrical systems
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with MRO and regulatory standards
  • Ensure compliance with EASA/FAA and company safety procedures
  • Work with MRO, engineering, and QA teams
  • Support and train junior technicians
  • Provide AOG/on-wing support when needed
Requirements

You should meet the following requirements:

  • Diploma, 'A' Level or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering (desirable)
  • An Aerospace apprenticeship (desirable)
  • Minimum 2+ years of aircraft build/production experience
  • Math and English GCSE A-C Grades or equivalent
  • Strong aerospace experience in an electrical role
  • Background in prototype, panel, or aircraft wiring
  • Skilled with aviation-standard tools
  • Knowledge of wiring techniques and equipment (Boeing SWPM/SOPM is a plus)
  • Familiarity with SAP (desirable)
  • Understanding of legislative and quality system requirements (training provided if needed)
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and a flexible approach to work
  • Rotating shifts: Monday-Friday (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00)
