Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)

Location: Clacton-on-Sea, Essex

Salary: Competitive + Company Pension

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:30 (30-minute lunch) and Friday 07:00-11:00

Company Overview

An established and growing manufacturer of precision composite materials is seeking an Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The company supplies a specialist product range to a global customer base and offers long-term job security alongside ongoing training and development opportunities.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on maintenance role suited to engineers with an electrical bias from a manufacturing or industrial background. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and machinery across the site, including power distribution from an on-site substation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fault finding and repair of electrical breakdowns on machinery and site circuits
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults, including hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Supporting new electrical installations and periodic testing
  • Contributing to machinery upgrades and site improvement projects
  • Maintaining safe and reliable power supply across the facility
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of single and three-phase electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Mechanical maintenance experience, including hydraulics and pneumatics

Desirable:

  • C&G 2365-03 or Part P
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (training can be provided)
