Location: Home based with travel around the London area.
Salary: Up to £40,175 depending on skills and experience.
Working pattern/hours: Full time & permanent. Normal working hours are 35 per week, excluding a 1-hour main meal break.
Location Specific Technical Allowance: Some employees living and working within the London areas may also be eligible to receive a Location Specific Technical Allowance (£2,000 - £7,000 per annum) in line with our current policy.

Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of apprentices across the region, working with learners and employers to monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and ensure apprentices are on track to meet the full requirements of their apprenticeship standard.
- Be a trusted advisor, coach, and link between the apprentice, their employer, and JTL to ensure all three work together towards successful outcomes.
- Support apprentices through regular workplace visits and progress reviews, offering mentoring, coaching, and guidance to help them succeed.
- Work with employers to ensure they understand their responsibilities and are engaged with the apprentice's progress, providing the right opportunities for skill development.
- Carry out fair and accurate assessments of apprentice knowledge, skills, and behaviours in line with awarding organisation and industry standards.
- Provide clear, constructive, and developmental feedback that helps apprentices improve and move towards successful end-point assessment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of apprentice progress, attendance, and achievements, producing timely reports and tracking against agreed milestones.
- Identify skills gaps or risk of non-completion early and agree targeted interventions with apprentices and employers.
- Complete pre-placement vetting for new and existing employers in line with JTL procedures to ensure safe and suitable working environments.
- Embed safeguarding, Prevent, equality and diversity, and health and safety into every aspect of your work, ensuring apprentices feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.
- Promote positive attitudes to learning, workplace professionalism, and the development of essential employability skills.
- Act as an ambassador for JTL by attending careers events, school visits, and industry activities to promote apprenticeships.
- Keep your own technical knowledge and assessment practice up to date through CPD and engagement with industry developments.
- Qualified electrician, NVQ Level 3, recognised apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Verifiable industry experience as a qualified operative/practitioner.
- GCSE/O-Level Maths and English (A-C, 9-4) or Level 2 equivalent.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
- Commitment to your own ongoing professional development.
- Current IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) or willingness to upskill on appointment.
- Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely).
- Assessor qualifications (D32, D33, A1, or TAQA).
- 2391 or equivalent Testing and Inspection qualification.
- Working knowledge of the building services engineering and related industries.
