Job Description
Electrical Shift Engineer (Night bias) - Continental Shift - Commercial Building - Liverpool Street, London - £50,000 Per annum

My client is seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer to be based across 4 buildings situated next to each other in Liverpool Street, London. A successful candidate will be electrically biased (C&G / NVQ). He or she will be required to carry out electrical maintenance across these four buildings. This role works a continental pattern with a focus on nights. In return, the company offers a competitive salary of £50,000, further training and career progression.

Hours of work

Continental Shift - 4 nights 4 off 2 days 1 off 3 nights 6 off 1 day . - 19:00 - 07:00 / 07:00 - 19:00

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, Changing ballast's, Control panel, Power distribution)
  • Emergency lighting
  • Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
  • Chillers - Re-set
  • Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
  • Monitor mechanical plant
  • Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
  • Pumps, motors
  • Water Treatment
  • BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds)
  • Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
  • Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required
  • Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
  • Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
  • Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
  • Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.

Requirements
  • Electrically qualified level (C&G, NVQ etc)
  • 18th edition
  • Experience working in a large commercial building
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer skills
