Shift Pattern

Days only shift pattern.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide a skilled maintenance service to meet the desired standards, specifications and competency levels required.
  • Respond to customer requests in compliance with agreed service levels.
  • Participate in operation of shift with other team members.
  • Act as Performing Authority for Permit Control Process.
  • Act as a competent person issuer for contractors on Control of Works and Risk assessments/Method Statements.
  • Perform duties of an Electrical/Mechanical Competent Person as defined within local site rules.
Duties
  • Working as part of a shift team operating a rotating shift system. Be willing and flexible to work occasional overtime to provide cover for annual leave / sickness.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and reactive repairs on electrical systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, and lighting systems.
  • Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure systems to ensure optimum performance and compliance with industry standards, particularly in a high-pressure environment.
  • Respond to and resolve electrical faults promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime, ensuring all work is logged and documented.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to execute maintenance activities with minimal disruption to the client's operations.
  • Maintain electrical/mechanical plant and services at client sites to appropriate industry standards.
  • Undertake maintenance procedures, regular checks and routine inspections on equipment in conjunction with the maintenance team to a satisfactory time scale.
  • Ensure the continuous operation of the installed system.
  • Undertake repair and minor works associated with the installed services relevant to their job designation and small new installation projects on a self-perform basis.
  • Assist and enhance service delivery through best practice and the effective use of site systems, equipment and time.
  • Carry out personal risk assessments of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Complete service reports and data entry on to CMMS system within a required time scale.
  • Maintain and review stock levels, spares requirement through audit and timely ordering of parts.
  • Attend to and supervise specialist contractors during service visits as required.
  • Communicate with all relevant parties and team members to a good recordable standard.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a critical or high-security environment, such as data centers, financial institutions, or industrial sites.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, building services, and control systems.
  • Experience working with critical systems such as UPS, standby generators, and associated systems.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Able to work as part of a busy team.
  • Flexible in approach to work scheduling.
