Key Responsibilities of the Role 1. Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight
  • Implement and maintain the Mercury QMS in compliance with Mercury SOPs.
  • Assist in the development of any project specific QA work procedures.
  • Assist in the development of any project specific ITPs.
  • Hold Quality Induction Workshops to promote awareness of the project specific requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams.
2. Inspection & Compliance
  • Conduct and record surveillance / in progress inspections of all work carried out on the project.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE), customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of electrical products and systems.
3. Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare and verify quality documentation, including inspection reports and certifications.
  • Conduct and record final inspections on all work carried out on the project.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to drive quality improvements.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects and failures.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies to optimize processes.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and standards.
  • Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and KPI development.
  • Experience with internal audits, corrective/preventive actions, and compliance documentation.
  • Familiarity with calibration systems, test plans, and quality documentation.
  • Attention to detail - critical for identifying defects and ensuring compliance.
  • Effective communication - to liaise with production, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Problem solving - proactive in identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Adaptability & continuous improvement mindset - driving innovation in QA processes.
