Job Description
Due to Contract Wins delivering EICR testing and remedials, Ashley & McDonough are looking for an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor
Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £42,000.00 per year
Schedule:
8-hour shift
Hybrid Home/Office based with onsite auditing/post inspections and testing
West Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Responsible for the quality and safety of the electrical works undertaken by Ashley & McDonough Ltd.
You will be joining a Team of Supervisors.
Reporting to the Lead QS, you will be responsible for ensuring works are conducted to the latest regulations and support staff where required. You will keep up to date with current best practices and regulations by attending events, webinars (e.g. NICEIC) and share this information with engineers.
Essential to have:
5 years domestic/ commercial testing experience
City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and testing or equivalent qualification
18th Edition BS7671 regs
Amendment 2/3 knowledge
Level 3 NVQ Electrical Qualifications or equivalent
Works well with the team
Initiative-taking & forward thinking
Key responsibilities:
Signing off and maintaining the electrical test sheets, working with management and engineers to ensure quality of works.
Monitoring of certification and compliance with all necessary regulations
Results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly on the appropriate certificates or reports electronically.
Business' premises, equipment, documentation, and records are available for inspection when required by NICEIC.
Onsite auditing.
To be successful in the role:
Understand the inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures for the range of electrical work undertaken.
Qualifications:
Held QS role for a minimum of 1 year (preferred)
Qualified electrical testing: 5 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
Driving Licence (required)
2391 Inspection and testing qualification or equivalent (required)
18th Edition BS7671 regs (required)
Amendment 2/3 knowledge (required)
City and Guilds 2360- Parts 1 and 2, NVQ3 or equivalent (required)
