As an Electrical Project Manager, you will lead projects from inception to completion, delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions across our key sectors: quarry & building materials, power generation & distribution, plus food & drink manufacturing.
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing full project lifecycle - concept, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover
- Quoting, tender negotiation, and commercial management
- Planning and allocating labour, ensuring resources meet project demands
- Leading or coordinating electrical design (schematics, protection, layouts)
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
- Overseeing health and safety compliance (site standards, RAMS, risk assessments)
- Monitoring and reporting on project performance (cost, timeline, risk)
We are looking for someone with the following experience and qualifications:
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer
- Proven experience managing electrical projects (especially in quarry, utilities/power Distribution, and food & drink sectors)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems: distribution, switchgear, design, control panels
- Skilled in labour planning and site resource management
- Excellent negotiation and commercial acumen
- Full UK driving licence
Health & Safety Expertise
- High-level H&S experience - you'll have oversight on site safety
- SSSTS (Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme) qualification or equivalent
Design Skills
- Comfortable using design software (e.g. AutoCAD, CAD tools, electrical calculation packages)
Personal Attributes
- Self-driven and proactive - you take ownership
- Strong communicator (verbal & written) - able to influence across all levels
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
Full time position: Monday - Friday (40 hours)
