Want to work on a state-of-the-art R&D facility in Surrey with a globally recognized Engineering Contractor? We have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to join the team delivering a cutting-edge Research facility and headquarters in Surrey. The project is in the early stages of pre-construction and will run until 2027. The team has been bolstered from another scheme, but due to the project's size and value, they are looking to add an Electrical Project Engineer / Snr Project Engineer.
The MEP package on the project is valued at approximately £55 million, divided into three sections. The program will extend until 2027, including a 9-month pre-construction period, with potential to work on the next phase thereafter.
As an Electrical Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Tender review and validation
- Design review in collaboration with consultants, the client, and the main contractor
- Procurement of major plant and subcontractors
- Programming of works using MS Project / Asta
- Leading the project from a commercial perspective, overseeing profitability, and reporting financially to the contracts manager
- Chairing internal and external meetings
- Managing commissioning stages and project hand-over to the client
What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have experience managing large electrical packages exceeding £5 million and a proven track record of delivering contracts on time and to client satisfaction. An HNC or degree qualification is preferred but not essential.
Experience working on shell and core/infrastructure packages within commercial-scale projects is desirable. Experience in the Health or R&D sector would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
