Electrical Project Engineer - Permanent - Birmingham - Severn Trent Water Framework - Strong Project Pipeline

Your new company
You will be joining a main contractor based in the Birmingham area operating in the water industry. This multi-accredited contractor has long-standing relationships with multiple major water providers across the country, including Severn Trent Water, United Utilities and Thames Water. They offer excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development, as well as a strong pipeline of work in the Severn Trent region. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard an Electrical Project Engineer to join their team.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Birmingham office with occasional site travel within the Severn Trent region. You will also have the option for hybrid and flexible working (3 days in office/on-site and 2 days from home).
Your new role
As Electrical Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and delivering electrical works on non-infrastructure water projects
  • Conducting site visits to monitor project progress and resolve potential technical issues
  • Preparing and reviewing documentation, including RAMS and technical reports
  • Developing project scopes and technical specifications
  • Overseeing contractors and suppliers, ensuring works comply with technical, quality and safety standards
  • Supporting project planning, scheduling and budgeting to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
  • Proven electrical project management/engineering experience, ideally in the water industry
  • Good working knowledge of NEC and/or IChemE contracts
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Full UK driving licence.
