Electrical Maintenance Engineer Power Generation Jobs Rochester, Kent

Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company, to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Station in Rochester, Kent.

Salary: £58,100 - £87,100 per annum + performance-related bonus + other excellent benefits.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who is committed to training and professional development.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for:

• The daily planned maintenance of electrical assets across the site, which includes power distribution systems, HV/LV motors, actuators, switchgear (up to 400kV), generators, etc.
• Leading a team of technicians and apprentices, whilst working closely with 3rd party contractors on site.
• Collaborating closely with the Control & Instrumentation Team and the Mechanical Engineering Team.
• Having full control of the electrical maintenance budget.
• Delivering planned maintenance on time and in line with the company standards.

Qualifications

• Ideally a Degree in Electrical Engineering; alternatively a HND/HNC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• A formal Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH is required as a minimum.

Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge

• Prior Electrical Engineering experience working in heavy process engineering environments such as Power Stations, Paper Mills, Top Tier COMAH sites, Refineries, Petrochemicals, etc.
• Experience working with High Voltage (HV) systems up to 400kV would be ideal.
• Experience working with relevant electrical equipment such as motors, generators, switchgears, PLC systems, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage teams.
