Job Description

Our client an established organisation, know for its commitment to quality and innovation in the engineering sector. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team in their Mallusk based engineering facility.

Day Shift - Monday to Friday

JOB SPECIFICATION

1. Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on all production equipment to include (but not limited to), including production lines, powder coating systems, conveyors, cranes, ovens, compressors, and extraction systems.

2. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults promptly to minimise downtime.

3. Monitor and maintain essential utilities such as air, water, and heating systems used in production.

4. Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

5. Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and service reports.

6. Identify and implement process and equipment improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.

7. Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and external service providers for specialist repairs or parts procurement.

8. Support installation and commissioning of new machinery or equipment upgrades.

9. Adhere to all company safety procedures, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.

10. Provide technical support to production teams and assist in operator training where required.

11. Provide assistance for out of hours for emergency breakdowns and repairs.

12. For any other duties as required and commensurate with the position held

Essential Criteria

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Multi-skilled background with both mechanical and electrical competencies Experience:

Proven track record in maintenance engineering within a heavy manufacturing environment. Experience with galvanising, powder coating, or similar coating processes highly advantageous. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems and mechanical assemblies. Experience working with overhead cranes, conveyors, ovens, and extraction systems

Skills & Attributes:

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. High attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices. Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable Criteria

Welding and fabrication skills.
