We are now seeking a high calibre experienced Electrical Estimator to join a skilled technical team working on large-scale industrial and engineering projects across Ireland and the UK. YOUR NEW JOB

The Electrical Estimator (Ireland) is responsible for converting client specifications and tender enquiries into accurate, technically sound quotations for electrical works across the pharmaceutical, industrial, power generation and oil & gas sectors.

The role manages the full tender lifecycle, from reviewing specifications and preparing bids to attending client briefings and handing over secured contracts to Project Managers. It requires close collaboration with clients, colleagues and the supply chain, along with regular travel between Ireland and the UK.

THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE THE FOLLOWING :
  • Turn client specifications and tender information into accurate quotations.
  • Ensure tender documents are correct and technically accurate.
  • Prepare and submit electrical tenders in a timely manner.
  • Attend site visits and client briefings.
  • Work closely with clients and colleagues to review tenders and handovers.
  • Finalise tender bids and attend pre-order meetings to secure contracts, handing over to Project Managers.
  • Work to tight deadlines.
  • Liaise with customers to review, interpret and understand their electrical specifications and requirements.
  • Maintain electrical specification confirmations for all contracts, identifying and costing upcharges and requesting concessions.
  • Develop key relationships with the supply chain, customers and specifiers.
  • Travel between Ireland and the UK as an essential part of the role.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR :
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as an Electrical Estimator, or as an Electrical Engineer performing an estimating role, with well-established general contractor knowledge.
  • Experience as an Electrical Estimator in the pharmaceutical, industrial, power generation, or oil & gas industries is preferred.
  • An electrical / instrumentation qualification / backgroundis an advantage.
