About the role Blythswood operations involve a comprehensive range of spirit production processes, including filling, disgorging, and maturation, with a focus on both whisky and rum. These operations are supported by warehousing techniques that include traditional storage methods, high-racking systems, and palletised operations, ensuring efficient management of the spirit throughout each stage.In this role, you'll be a key contributor to the safe, reliable and efficient running of our production sites. From maintaining critical equipment to driving long term improvements, you'll work closely with colleagues across Maintenance, Operations and Planning to deliver real impact. Key responsibilities include: Championing safety, wellbeing and environmental standards across all engineering activities. Carrying out effective maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting to keep assets reliable, compliant and available. Using SAP PM to plan, record and track maintenance work, including stock and spare part usage. Working closely with Operations and Maintenance Planning teams to deliver mandatory and planned maintenance with minimal disruption. Leading or supporting improvement initiatives that boost efficiency, reliability and cost performance. Responding to breakdowns with confidence - diagnosing issues, repairing them quickly and driving long term fixes. Representing asset care in key meetings and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Building your capability through ongoing training and development, supporting both your own growth and our wider business goals. Shifts This role is working 38 hours per week on constant dayshift. Working core hours of Monday to Thursday 07.00 - 15.45 and Friday 07.00 - 12.00. About you You're a thoughtful and dedicated engineering professional who brings a blend of hands on technical expertise and calm, analytical confidence to every challenge. Key Skills & Qualifications HNC level qualification in Engineering or equivalent experience Time served Engineer with strong hands on maintenance and engineering experience Essential Skills & Experience Excellent analytical skills with a proven track record of identifying and driving significant improvements Strong interpersonal skills with confidence communicating across all levels Professional conduct, positive attitude, and clear, effective communication Ability to coordinate diverse tasks and expertly prioritise engineering decisions for self and others Knowledge of Reliability Maintenance techniques Experienced in data analysis and use of applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and business systems such as SAP Comfortable working independently or within a team, with meticulous attention to detail Flexibility to provide 24 hour breakdown cover within a pre arranged rota (where applicable) Full UK driving licence for sites requiring operation of company vehicles Desirable Experience within an engineering, production, or service environment; technical or management experience beneficial but not crucial Understanding of manufacturing processes Additional qualifications in specific engineering techniques Working with us Our purpose is to celebrate life, every day, everywhere.
