THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the creation of electrical work instruction procedures, ensuring compliance with established aerospace and defence industry processes and standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing clear, accurate, and compliant documentation that supports production and engineering activities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver Electrical Work Instruction Procedures in line with defined aerospace/defence industry processes and quality standards.
  • Create procedures using the PREX format (Process Exchange Standard).
  • Ensure procedures are delivered in the required formats: PDF, Microsoft Word, and .mht, and uploaded/managed via Windchill.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure instructions are accurate, practical, and fully validated.
  • Apply best practice in technical writing, document control, and configuration management.
  • Support internal reviews and updates of procedures to align with evolving requirements.
Essential Experience and Skills
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong background in electrical systems engineering and work instruction creation.
  • Familiarity with aerospace/defence engineering processes.
  • Proficiency in PREX format documentation.
  • Experience using Windchill or other PLM/document management systems.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to create clear, structured, and compliant documentation.
  • Manufacturing experience
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in technical documentation for aerospace/defence environments.
  • Knowledge of configuration and change management processes.
  • Familiarity with additional tools such as DOORS, SAP, or other engineering data management platforms.
  • Awareness of quality and compliance standards in aerospace/defence manufacturing.
