- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Electrical Systems and compliance with the planned and corrective maintenance system on board the vessel.
- Assist the Chief Engineer in performing active leadership of the Technical Department.
- BOSIET/ FOET/CA-EBS - Not mandatory on appointment
- OEUK or Equivalent
- Seafarers Medical (ENG-1)
- STCW Certificate of Competence (ETO III/6 - Limited)
- CoP in Designated Security Duties
- High Voltage 1000KW (Management Level)
- STCW Personal Survival Techniques
- STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting
- STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats
- STCW Advanced Fire Fighting
- Hazardous Areas Elect Ex Competency
