Electrical Design EngineerLocation: West YorkshireSalary: £40,000-£45,000
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established and growing engineering business to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist manufacturer delivering bespoke engineered solutions across a diverse range of industries.
The role will play a key part in the design and development of electrical control systems, with a strong focus on control panel design. You'll be working within a collaborative engineering team, supporting projects from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical control panels in line with customer specifications and industry standards
- Produce detailed electrical schematics using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar)
- Interpret technical specifications and translate them into practical design solutions
- Support the build, testing, and commissioning phases where required
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure project delivery
- Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and quality standards
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in electrical design, with a strong focus on control panel design
- Ability to produce accurate electrical drawings and documentation
- Good understanding of electrical systems, components, and standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Desirable:
- Experience with PLC programming (advantageous but not essential)
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems
