Electrical Design Engineer

Overview

Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking for a new opportunity in the heavy engineering sector?

We are working with a business known across the UK for it's lifting equipment, and they are searching for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join their well established team.

Responsibilities

• Specification of electrical components, wiring, and cabling.
• Design and development of control panels.
• Creation of parameter sets for variable frequency drives.
• Collaboration with the shop floor team to commission and fault-find new equipment.
• Support junior engineers, installation teams, and end customers.
• Drive product development and validate new designs through prototyping.

Qualifications

• A minimum of HNC Level qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience using CAD software to create electrical schematics.
• Strong computer literacy, particularly with Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact across various business levels.
