Job Description

Join a dynamic and fast-paced engineering team working on cutting-edge automation systems for a major player in the air-cargo logistics industry. Based at the strategic Liège Airport hub, you'll be part of an international operation that ensures seamless cargo handling through state-of-the-art conveyor, scanning, and material handling systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain PLC-based control systems for automated cargo handling equipment.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs (preferably Siemens S7, TIA Portal, or Rockwell/Allen-Bradley).
  • Support commissioning, integration, and testing of new systems.
  • Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and root cause analysis for electrical and control issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and airport-specific regulations.
  • Interface with mechanical, IT, and SCADA teams to ensure systems run efficiently.
  • Provide technical support and training to on-site operators and maintenance teams.
  • Produce detailed documentation (electrical schematics, I/O lists, test reports).


Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in PLC control systems, ideally in logistics or airport cargo environments.
  • Proven hands-on experience with PLC programming and electrical panel design.
  • Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
  • Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken) - mandatory.
  • Familiarity with airport operations or high-speed logistics environments is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional night/weekend shifts during critical project phases.
