The Opportunity

We're looking for Electrical Design Engineers at intermediate and senior/principal levels to join our growing building services team.

This is an opportunity to design and deliver sustainable, efficient, and innovative electrical systems that enhance performance and safety across diverse environments. You'll be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle-from feasibility studies and detailed design to completion-collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop high-quality engineering solutions. Projects include lighting, power distribution, emergency systems, fire alarms, and data networks.

At the intermediate level, you'll support detailed design production, perform calculations, and ensure compliance with standards (e.g., BS 7671). You'll work with multidisciplinary teams to develop energy-efficient solutions, suitable for those ready to advance their careers.

At the senior level, you'll lead complex projects, oversee technical quality, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with clients, architects, and other disciplines, contributing to strategic decisions and ensuring high standards of delivery.

We welcome applicants from related backgrounds, including those with experience in power systems or fire systems engineering. Skills are highly transferable, and we support transitions into building services.

Is this role right for you?

We're seeking candidates who:

  • Have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent. You may be chartered, working towards chartership, or keen to pursue it with our support (IET / CIBSE).
  • Have demonstrable experience in electrical building services design, including HV and LV systems, lighting, fire alarms, security & access control, renewable energy electrical design, and earthing across various project types. (Candidates transitioning from power or fire systems engineering are also considered.)
  • Are proficient in BIM tools like Revit, and familiar with design software such as ProDesign, Dialux, SKM, ETAP, or Amtech (Trimble).
  • For senior roles, demonstrate strong leadership and strategic skills to lead multidisciplinary projects, manage teams, provide technical oversight, and support business development and innovation.
  • Have commercial awareness and experience in resource planning and financial management.
