An opportunity to work as an Elective Home Education Case Worker with the Children Missing Education and Elective Home Education Team at Warwickshire County Council. The role involves supporting families who have chosen home education for their child or children.
ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of families, providing support and guidance around the statutory framework for home education. Interface with schools, internal and external agencies to secure the best educational outcome for each child. Maintain accurate records, communicate in written and verbal form with a range of stakeholders, and report progress as required. Work independently, remain solution focused, and maintain a friendly, understanding approach.
Qualifications & Requirements- Experience in an educational setting and/or social care is advantageous but not essential.
- Self motivated, solution focused, with a can do attitude.
- Capacity to handle high volumes of varied activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public (Fluency Duty).
- Subject to pre engagement checks including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
The role is permanent for two days per week, with preference for this basis but flexibility for discussions about flexible working, including a potential job share arrangement.
