Take your first step into a career in Business Administration with an exciting opportunity at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, working in partnership with a college of further education. The apprenticeship offers a supportive pathway into Business Administration, helping you gain valuable experience to launch your career.
The successful candidate will act as an administration assistant for the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service. The role will include answering the telephone, taking minutes of meetings, updating BCUHB systems, collating information, filing, typing correspondence and supporting the EIP team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job- Have good numeracy and literacy skills
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be able to use Microsoft office applications
- Be willing to learn

Job responsibilitiesBusiness Administration Apprentices will work toward the duties outlined in the job description. They will not be expected to carry out the full range of responsibilities until they have received the appropriate training and demonstrated the necessary competence.
Once the post holder has completed 75% of the qualification, they are eligible to apply for any advertised vacancy providing they commit to completing the Apprenticeship Framework.
Eligibility criteria for Government Funded Apprenticeships Schemes (Applicable to this post)- Individuals who already hold a degree are not eligible to undertake a Level 2 Apprenticeship
- Applicants cannot be currently enrolled in any form of formal, government funded education
- Applicants must not already hold a Level 2 qualification in Business Administration
- Maths and English GSCE grade C/4 or above or equivalent
- Willing to undertake and achieve the L2 Business Administration Apprenticeship Framework
- Basic knowledge of administrative systems and data input procedures acquired through on-the-job training
- Knowledge of Data Protection
- Previous NHS or Education experience
- Good communication skills - verbal and written, with the ability to convey information professionally
- Ability to exercise judgement when dealing with enquiries and problems
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
