EHS Officer

Matrix Recruitment are recruiting an EHS Officer for our manufacturing client in Co. Wexford.

This is a permanent, fully onsite role with a hands-on focus.

As EHS Officer, you'll be responsible forall aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance onsite. You'll work closely with management and the wider team to ensure standards are consistently met and improved.

• Manage and improve all EHS systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
• Lead and document risk assessments, audits, and inspections
• Carry out incident investigations and ensure actions are closed out
• Oversee site waste management and environmental compliance
• Maintain safety statements, registers, and chemical inventories
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies when required
• Chair the Safety Committee and encourage hazard/near-miss reporting
• Deliver EHS inductions, toolbox talks and staff training
• Report EHS KPIs to management
• Support machinery, lifting, contractor, and emergency safety procedures

• 3+ years EHS experience in manufacturing, fabrication, engineering or another industrial environment.
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification.
• Risk assessments, incidents, audits & corrective actions.
• ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 experience.
• Hands-on, confident communicator, visible on the factory floor.
