Job Description
Responsibilities 
- Generate environment and health & safety reports in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor trade effluent compliance and generate statutory reports.
- Execution of Purchase Requisitions for the Department, as necessary.
- Ensure that all records are properly maintained.
- Develop AI processes that improve efficiencies around EHS.
- Organisation of meetings for project reviews and presentations.
- Participation in cross-functional project work as dictated by emerging business needs.
- Adherence to and enforcement of all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements on sites, plus communication of any concerns regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to Manager.
- Develop process efficiencies and arrangements of employee assessments (dosimeters, eye, audiometric, medical, vaccination etc.).
- LMS Technician for EHS components including set-up and ongoing management.
- Maintain and optimise EHS related processes and documents such as procedures, risk assessments and reports and appropriate filing of same e.g. livelink, filing to document control, filing to HR.
- Scheduling of training (classroom, online etc.).
- Waste report generation and tracking of certificates of destruction.
- Generating reports and updating EHS metrics.
- Assisting in audit preparation, specially around ISO 14001 in the 16 affiliates and work with other entities Contractor Database management.
- Building of Quality into all aspects of one's work by maintaining compliance with all site and corporate Quality Management System requirements.
- Ensure that Cook's Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook's behalf.
- Provide input to supervisor/manager to improve department operation and efficiency.
- Work independently and as a team member, referring questions and problems to the department supervisor and/or manager.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Relevant third-level qualification and/or relevant experience desired.
- Two+ years' experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment desired.
- Language skills - good written and verbal command of English and French.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of computer software, including AI.
