EIS Versilia is seeking an Educational Ceramics Teacher

Program: Afterschool Activities Starting: September 2025

Location: Versilia, Tuscany Part-time position

EIS Versilia is looking for a passionate and creative Ceramics Teacher to lead Afterschool Workshops focused on educational and expressive use of clay and ceramic art. The goal is to offer students (ages 6-14) a space to explore creativity, sensory learning, and fine motor skills through hands-on, meaningful artistic experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging ceramics classes for small groups of primary and lower secondary students;

- Teach basic techniques such as hand-building, slab work, pinch pots, coiling, and introductory glazing;

- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and relaxed environment where students can express themselves artistically;

- Collaborate with the school to showcase student work during exhibitions or events;

- Ensure safe use of materials and tools, and manage studio setup and cleanup (kiln use optional but appreciated).

Requirements:

- Experience in ceramic arts education or visual arts workshops with children or teens;

- Background in art therapy, education, or studio ceramics (preferred);

- Creativity, patience, and excellent classroom management with young learners;

- Spoken English or Italian (English B2 or higher preferred);

- Availability on one or more afternoons per week from September 2025.
