As part of this partnership, North Bridge House Regent's Park Prep and North Bridge House Hampstead are becoming Alleyn's schools. Alleyn's Regent's Park successfully transitioned this September, welcoming pupils aged 3-11. Alleyn's Hampstead will follow in September 2026, offering an exceptional education for pupils aged 2-18 and bringing the distinctive Alleyn's ethos of academic excellence, creativity, and care to north London.
The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Education Welfare Officer to join our fantastic team.
About the roleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Education Welfare officer to support student wellbeing and pastoral care. You will be working closely with staff, students, families and external agencies to contribute to a supportive school environment. The role encompasses both proactive pastoral support and responsive intervention, ensuring that vulnerable students and their families receive appropriate guidance and resources. The EWO is instrumental in supporting "The Well" - which will be our dedicated student wellbeing and support centre - which provides a safe space for students to access help, guidance, and pastoral support. This includes supporting students with emotional wellbeing, managing complex family situations, liaising with external agencies, and ensuring safeguarding concerns are appropriately escalated and managed.
Who we are looking for- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies
- Commitment to supporting vulnerable students and their families sensitively
- Enhanced DBS (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with young people in an educational or pastoral setting
- Understanding of pastoral care approaches, delivery of pastoral support programmes/workshops, and support of student wellbeing
- Understanding of child safeguarding and child protection practices
