We are working with a well-regarded Secondary Academy in Braintree, rated GOOD by Ofsted, that is seeking a motivated and dedicated English ECT to join their successful English department. This Braintree academy is committed to delivering high-quality English education, promoting a love of reading and writing, and supporting students to achieve their full potential across Key Stages.
Job Overview: This academy caters for students aged 11-19. Full-time, Monday - Friday, English ECT role. Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with KS5 opportunities available). Teach a broad curriculum including literature, language, and creative writing. Receive structured support through a comprehensive ECT induction programme. Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback to support development. Work collaboratively with experienced colleagues and contribute to departmental planning.
