A high-performing, academically ambitious secondary school in Bristol is seeking a full time Economics Teacher to join its growing sixth form provision.
This is a school built around strong routines, high expectations and a knowledge-rich curriculum. Students are taught in a calm, purposeful environment where disruption is not tolerated and academic focus is the norm. The culture is unapologetically aspirational, with a clear belief that background should never limit achievement.
Economics sits within a department that values clarity of explanation, depth of subject knowledge and intellectual curiosity. At KS5, students are encouraged to think critically about markets, government intervention, global economics and real-world financial systems. Lessons are rooted in strong subject expertise, carefully sequenced content and regular, meaningful assessment.
The RoleYou will:

- Take full responsibility for marking and assessment in line with departmental policy
- Prepare students thoroughly for A Level examinations
- Use data intelligently to close knowledge gaps
- Contribute to curriculum refinement and collaborative planning
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and academic focus
Teaching at this school means working within a clear framework. Behaviour systems are consistent across the school, freeing teachers to focus on subject delivery. Centralised planning and shared resources support workload, while still allowing teachers to bring their own expertise into the classroom.

- Knowledge-rich curriculum with careful sequencing across subjects
- Clear behaviour policy that protects learning time
- A growing and ambitious sixth form
- Diverse student body with high aspirations
