The Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Ecommerce Assistant to join Derek Rose's exciting and expanding office team based in Baker Street, London.

In your role as Ecommerce Assistant, you will work directly with the Ecommerce Manager to implement and execute the ecommerce strategy for Derek Rose.

Key Responsibilities:

Website & Trading Management

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Shopify site, including product uploads, categorisation, bundling, tagging and pricing accuracy.
  • Own weekly merchandising updates to ensure strategic presentation of products across categories, homepage and navigation.
  • Support delivery of campaigns and key seasonal product launches across the site and digital channels.
  • Maintain clean product data including style recommendations, variant attributes and naming consistency.
  • Conduct regular site walks, identifying issues and working with internal teams and external partners to resolve bugs and improve UX.

Product & Content Management

  • Collaborate with the buying and merchandising teams to ensure smooth and timely product go-lives.
  • Write, edit and optimise product copy in the Derek Rose tone of voice, aligned with SEO and customer journey goals.
  • Maintain and evolve image libraries and site assets, ensuring consistent application of brand creative.
  • Support creative and ecommerce photo shoot, product, model and flat lay, ensuring asset capture meets business needs.

Performance & Optimisation

  • Assist with reporting on site performance, campaign results, and customer behaviour, using insights to support trade decisions.
  • Undertake competitor reviews to inform category layout, promotions and product presentation.
  • Contribute ideas and support implementation of CRO and on-site UX improvements.

Marketing & Campaign Support

  • Support the Marketing team with execution of campaigns on site.
  • Assist in asset preparation and technical delivery of content across site, email and social where required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in an ecommerce environment, ideally within luxury or premium retail.
  • Knowledge of Shopify or other ecommerce platforms preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
  • Confident using Excel and comfortable handling product data at scale.
  • Excellent written communication and grammar, with a flair for creating engaging product copy.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and strong interest in ecommerce growth and customer experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in ecommerce trading, merchandising, or site management.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion or a related discipline.
  • Interest in luxury lifestyle, fashion, and digital retail trends
