Job Title: Ecologist/Forester Woodland Technician
Exciting opportunity for the right individual to work as an Ecologist/Forester Woodland Technician with Ireland's longest established Forestry Co-op. The role has a great balance of outdoor and indoor work, and if you like working with landowners, farmers and communities then this is the role for you.

Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Ecology or similar Environmental Science degree
  • Registered or ability to get registered with CIEEM
  • Full Driving License
  • Highly motivated, ability to work on own initiative
  • Computer literate (email, word, excel)
  • Good communication skills, happy to deal with people daily
  • An interest in Woodlands, the timber industry and all types of trees

Primarily the role will involve producing Environmental/Ecology reports and maps required to accompany a woodland application. The secondary part of the role will be as a forestry technician as part of the team that ensures the successful establishment of our young forests, through dealing with landowners, contractors and officials Experience not necessary as training will be provided. The role will be based in Sligo, flexible working arrangements available/Hybrid.
