About the role:

As an EC&I Technician, you'll provide electrical,control and instrumentation support to the plant mainly focussed on planned andunplanned maintenance activities. You'll also provide some support onmodification and replacement projects.

Based in Uddingston near Glasgow, Daldowie TreatmentWorks is one of the largest plants of its type in Europe. For nearly 25 yearsthe plant has focussed on creating wdf pellets from sewage sludge reducingenvironmental impacts as well as creating a new fuel source replacing the needto burn fossil fuels.

Day to day you'll support the process by providingtimely repairs to breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance activitiesincluding instrumentation calibrations. You'll ensure that all work is managedand recorded correctly to maintain compliance, inspiring safe ways of workingacross the site, setting a high standard of EC&I engineering activity, andsupporting in rolling out new processes, systems, and ways of working to yourcolleagues on site.

You'll be joining a tight knit, dedicated team based onsite, who are also part of a larger group with a wide support network.

Who we're looking for:

You'll need to have experience in solving problems andbeing a strong communicator to be able to persuade and influence others.

You should be educated to at least ONC level inElectrical or Instrumentation Engineering and should have served a recognisedApprenticeship.

Specifically, you'll need plant experience in themaintenance, repair and installation of electrical equipment, including but notrestricted to, 3 phase motors and associated switchgear, variable speed drives,soft starts, circuit breakers, motor control centres and 3 phase andsingle-phase distribution systems.

You'll be able interpret schematic drawings, single linediagrams and PLC ladder logic.

Ideally, you'll also have process plant experience inthe maintenance, repair, installation and calibration of plant instrumentationand control systems including, but not restricted to, systems for themeasurement of temperature, pressure, level, flow, oxygen, and ph.
